Our founder Amanda Patterson embarked on a career changing path when she stepped out of the corporate world to join a regional and boutique real estate agency back in 2007.  After her own experiences in buying and selling property herself, Amanda wanted to offer clients a true and enjoyable experience and remove the elements of anxiety and stress that surround many clients in these types of transactions.

In November 2012 Local Realty was born with the philosophy of a fair and honest working environment that includes complete transparency for all parties.  We believe working relationships should be fun, enjoyable and of mutual benefit.

Joining the team is Kristy Baker in May 2019.  Kristy brings with her a warmth that embraces our clients along with a sharp skill set in property management. 

In March 2020 we expanded the business and relocated onto popular Bay Street at Tweed Heads.
